The Grand Hotel Majestic, stands proudly on the western shores of Lake Maggiore in the tiny city
of Verbania, near the quaint little town of Pallanza. In 2010 in an annual report carried out by
"Urban Ecosystem of Legambiente" an environmental movement. Pallanza received an award for
"The most liveable town in Italy" The hotel stands elegantly on a stunning headland promontory
stretching directly over Lake Maggiore, surrounded by beautiful impeccable gardens, immersed in
peace, tranquillity and silence. Its privileged position affords it, from almost every angle,
breathtaking views of the splendid Borromeo Islands, the surrounding mountains and the lake itself.
Immersed in silence and constant sunshine thanks to its western exposure, the hotel has it’s own
jetty and intimate private beach directly facing the picturesque islet of San. Giovanni, summer
residence of the noble Borromeo family. The hotel accesses directly onto the lakeside cycle path,
reaching in just a few minutes the town centre and the astounding botanic gardens of Villa Taranto.
